Love the blackjack. Before this I had a Razr, and had never owned a PDA device. This is the perfect PDA for first time users. Standard battery life is average at best, but that's why you get two of them. I carry both of mine at all times. People are stupid to complain about battery life on a PDA. It's a mini computer. It's gonna use a lot more energy to do the same functions as a regular phone. I love the camera, the full qwerty keypad, and the 3g technology. I'm always checking e-mail while I'm on a call...

Where was I? The Blackjack is great, especially with the unlimited data plan. For the first few months I did not have the plan and did not take advantage of it's features. But, let me tell you, the internet on this thing loads up very quickly! I get my outlook e-mail and calendar synchronized in real time in no time! I am amazed at the speed! Previously I had the Treo 650 with Sprint for 2 years, and I hardly ever used the internet explorer and the phone for e-mail since it was so slow, and the screen was only ok, the screen on the BlackJack is amazingly clear. I can read the smallest print! I might not be able to add a calendar item in a two-step process as I could with the Palm version of the Treo, but the extra few steps are worth it given the speed of the Blackjack and the much, much lighter phone. I miss my Treo only in the calendar function, but in everything else I am very happy with the Blackjack!

Although I will most likely not use most of the blackjack's mobile 5.0 office programs, I will however use it's keypad. (A lot at that) Maybe it's just me, but I do not agree with the other reviews claiming the keys are too small. I am trading up from my Sony Erickson z520a which was perfect in every way except that i did not have a qwerty keyboard. Battery life is above average for a PDA but far less than my previous phone. The blackjack is an exceptional for anyone who like to: 1.Text or send e-mails constantly. 2. Have most aspects of the office on the go.(without the boss) or 3. Just want to have a stylish phone to be proud to show in public for an extremely affordable price.

the Samsung SGH-I607 gave me exactly what I wanted (basic smart phone) for less than anything on the market. It has the defect of changing times for appointments in PDA when I cross time zones (appointments are initially made by me in time of traveled-to zones and the phone assumes they were made in originating time zone, and changes to traveled-to zone, i.e., traveling from the east coast, a 3pm California appointment will suddenly become a noon appointment when I land in California). Small enough that I can carry in my pocket and don't have to wear a holster!

I absolutely love the Samsung SGH-I607. The first week I had the phone, my car battery died. I sat in the car, googled the car dealership, scrolled down and called the dealership, just like an iphone. It is easy to use, keeps a good charge, and was much cheaper than an iphone. I highly recommend!

It's the best windows mobile device on the market. After researching the Motorola q and the blackjack, I decided to purchase the blackjack. I wanted a device that was small enough that I didn't feel like I was holding a brick in my hand (palm Treo) but had the capabilities of a full qwerty keyboard. The blackjack is a very nice compromise. It's light weight and slim design make it comfortable to place in a coat pocket or on your belt (try that with a typical blackberry or Treo). Everything is a compromise, but this unit has a nice blend of features. Using the data plan, I have instant access to my company's mail server. All my contacts, calendar appointments, and e-mail messages synced up immediately. The keys are smaller than a Treo, but that's the compromise for having a device that looks and feels more like a cell phone than a PDA. I know people who own the Motorola q and a number of them have had to replace it (quality issues). It has a slightly larger screen, but it's also slightly wider in overall size and that makes it a bit more cumbersome to use as a phone. Call quality is average overall (compared to cell phones in general) but is better than many other PDA phones. It's very easy to use (my it department set up the mail function in less than 1 minute) and I personally think the design is among the best. Battery life is better than the Motorola but probably average overall. Some reviewers have complained about battery life, but they are probably comparing it to their cell phone which doesn't have to support a device with multiple applications running on a large color screen (you can shut down some of those applications to conserve energy and improve performance). If your company's mail service supports the blackberry platform, then get a blackberry curve, otherwise, the blackjack is the best windows mobile device on the market.

I am not totally satisfied with the phone or the plan. The call quality is not great, much less good; a lot of echoing from both end, calls drop frequently. It is not very user friendly. The plan includes various unexplainable charges. Yes I have asked and do not get a specific answer. I switched from Sprint due to poor customer service, but I would rather have a bill that is easier to understand, does not have hidden charges and actually applies my companies discount than this experience.

Phone gets dropped calls like crazy and then tells me I have no service when my boyfriends phone (also At&t and has the Sony Walkman) gets perfect service where we are.... And I live in Orlando, it is not like I am out in the middle of no where.... Although love the feature of the phone.... Battery life will last me like 4 days with out charging.... But when you are making a call like *pay... There is no letters over the numbers and don't know what to call.... And leaning on the phone and talking is impossible because the phone is SO small and boxy it will be in your check.... Overall I really do like the phone, but needs to be improved in some areas.

I've had my blackjack for about a month and have had few problems. Call quality is the only down side, a few dropped calls with people working on analog cell phones, but land lines and digital seem fine. Went to Puerto Rico and got better service there than in Georgia. Internet speed is excellent. Overall a great phone.

This phone is good to use, having all part of features. Only issue is, small battery is an issue. You need to stick with big size battery if you want to talk more than 1.5 hours. Small battery does not help for 60 mins talk even.. This is biggest issue for us.
